Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab, Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse.
Its interesting to study the geneology of Christ. We see that these people were not perfect people, which gives us hope! Some were born from wealth and some were not. When you dig deeper into all of the people you see more: liars, adulterers, murderers and many other of all kinds of people, sinners! The great news is that Jesus came so that He could save all kinds, not just a certain kind of person! We have hope, that no matter how bad we have been, we still can inherit the kingdom that God has prepared for us. How - we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, sent from Heaven, who died on a cross to save us from our sin. He shed His blood to make a way for us. We must accept Him as our Lord and Savior. I am so thankful that He did just that just for me, and guess what? He did it just for you! We are not perfect people, just forgiven!
