Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land, one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors or violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.
Jeremiah 51:46
Once again we are encouraged! I must say that living in the ministry is tough, and this verse is comforting because those rumors do come. Even when we know that they are not true, it is still easy to lose sight of the One who is in control and let those rumors control us for a while. We start to worry what will happen when others believe this rumor to be true. God wants us to step back, take a deep breath and once again, place it all at the foot of the cross. Give it to Him and let Him handle it. There have been so many times that it just dwindles away when it is placed at the foot of the cross. We are not supposed to worry - so don't!
