Act 12:5
So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.

What do we as the church prayer for? Are we continually lifting up those men, who are carrying God's word to His people, even at the risk of being put in prision? This verse should make us think and first thank God that we are not being put in prison for telling others about our Lord & Savior. Second we should pray for those in other countries that are going against the law of the land, and they are sharing Christ with others. We should also be reminded that Paul was a pastor, we should pray for our pastors. And lastly we should pray for the prisoners that are in prision right now. We may not know what they did, if they are guilty or innocent, but they all need the Lord. If we can't go to them, we can pray for them, ask God to speak to them and pray that God would lead the right person to them to give them an opportunity to accept Christ. So today step out of your regular prayer zone, pray for those that you normally wouldn't give the time of day.
